The Best of Summer Events in Boston
It’s officially summertime in Boston, which means it’s time to get out in the community and socialize at summer events in the city! Whether you’re naturally a homebody and love to stay in at Waterside Place or look forward to the summer event lineup every year, there’s something for everyone in our great city. Here’s what you can get up to at summer events in Boston this year.
Nothing says summer quite like a Red Sox game does. Head to Fenway Park on July 14 at 7 p.m. to see our hometown team play against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Grab a hot dog, some popcorn and a cold brew for a perfect summer evening. Tickets range in price from $53 to $184 and are available for purchase here. Fenway Park is a 22-minute drive from Waterside Place.
Spend a magical evening at the Water Lantern Festival. This special event will include tasty foods from food truck vendors, lively music and the beautiful sight of floating lanterns. Tickets range in price from $16 to $65 and are available for purchase here. Kids under seven gain free entry. This family-friendly event will be held on July 27 at 5:30 p.m. The Water Lantern Festival will be held at the Hatch Memorial Shell, an 18-minute drive from Waterside Place.
The Boston Jazz Fest is the free, can’t-miss event of the summer! With an incredible lineup of live performances, this two-day event will celebrate the true American art form of jazz. Enjoy great music and amazing food from local vendors at the ninth annual festival. The festival begins at noon on August 30. View a lineup here. The Boston Jazz Fest will be held at Boston Maritime Park, a two-minute walk from Waterside Place.
