Need a Good Belly Laugh, Waterside Place? Catch a Show at Laugh Boston!
Whether it's because of the cold winters, the preponderance of college students, or the personality of the crowds, Boston has been the launching pad for some of the most influential comics in the country since the 1980s. But while the comedy scene at open mics and small clubs has always been robust, until recently there weren't many mid-size venues that could attract bigger-name touring comedians.
That’s where Laugh Boston near the Convention Center comes in. Helmed by local comedy veterans—John Tobin of Nick’s Comedy Stop and Chet Harding and Norm Laviolette of Improv Asylum—Laugh Boston has been a key factor in the revitalization of Boston comedy, showcasing local talent and rising stars on tour.
Standup shows run Wednesdays through Sunday, with private parties and special events rounding out the weekly schedule. So if you're thinking about catching an act here, be sure to check out the club's online schedule before heading over from Waterside Place!
